SSE GROUP 4 PROGRAMME LAUNCHED IN REGION 2 GRAND PORT - MAURITIUS

On the auspicious occasion of Aradhana Mahotsavam, by the infinite merciful grace of the Divine Lord, Region 2 Grand-Port, kicked-off the SSE Group 4 Programme at the Sathya Sai Centre of Beau Vallon. The launch was an integral part of the Aradhana Mahotsavam evening programme. Around 350 people attended the event.
The National President, Br. Sham Rajendranath and the National Education Coordinator, Sister Rahiman Vidula, graced the ceremony by their presence. The National Young Adult Representatives, Sister Reena Fowder and Brother Kamlesh Leelah were also present, together with other National Council members. The launching ceremony started with an offering of the group 4 booklet at the lotus feet of Bhagwan by National Vice President, National Assistant Secretary and Regional President Region 2, Brothers Vinay Gunnasya, Jugdish Luchmun and Sakaram Ragoo together. This was followed by an overview of SSE Group 4 project by Sis Madvi Maghoo, the Deputy Education Coordinator of the Sathya Sai International Organisation Mauritius. The uniqueness of this programme lies in the fact. that though it is an Education Wing activity, it is being led by Young Adults of the region who are SSILP Graduates of 2017/2018, together with SSE Teachers, as part of an initiative from the Group 4-YA Transition International Sub-committee. It will be a course carried out over a period of 3 years, run on a fortnight basis for 2 hours, each session. 24 teen youths registered for this course and there are 17 SSILP graduates involved.
After the overview, an ex-SSE student, sister Tanishta Bappaya shared her own experience of having followed Bal Vikas classes , how it moulded her character and encouraged the teens to follow this course. The National Education Coordinator emphasized the importance of personal sadhana that will help them in this endeavor. She also mentioned that in Region 5, another Young Adult is doing Vedic Chanting with teens of same age group. As for the National President, he spoke about this age group being very crucial and prone to potentially harmful decisions. This course will definitely help them lifelong. The ceremony ended with a presentation of the Group 4 teen youths and a token of love was offered to each of them by National members present.
