Le Morne Beach

Le Morne Beach is overlooked by an iconic mountain

Le Morne beach on the west coast of Mauritius is situated at the foot of Le Morne Brabant Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You couldn’t get a more dramatic backdrop for sunbathing, so take your camera and capture the beautiful stretch of sand and the mountain beyond. The south is renowned for strong and consistent tradewinds, especially between April and November, so it’s a great place to learn to kitesurf and there is a choice of surf and kite schools to teach you. One Eye at Pointe du Morne is one of the world’s most famous kitesurfing areas.

If you simply want to kick back on Le Morne Beach, the white sand, clear water and coconut trees make this the perfect place – just make sure you stick around to catch an amazing sunset.
